The Director

David McKay is a civil engineer with 30 years’ experience on major transport and infrastructure projects in Australia, Indonesia and the United Kingdom, which have included rolling stock procurement and upgrades, motorways, airports, social housing development and maintenance, water treatment plants and mining projects.

David is a specialist in the planning, development and delivery of complex projects involving large teams and multiple stakeholders. He has extensive site management and contract management experience including design management, contract administration, procurement, technical reporting, independent verification, stakeholder liaison and risk management.

David approaches each project with a strong client focus and has a proven track record of working effectively within team environments to deliver ‘best for client’ outcomes in complex and demanding projects and programs.

His commitment to community is evident in the various causes he supports.

Born and bred in Dubbo, NSW, David is a keen supporter of junior cricket. He is a Past President and Life Member of St Ives Junior Cricket Club in Sydney, and can often be found during the summer umpiring his children’s cricket matches or cooking sausages at the clubhouse BBQ.

David was the President of the Parents and Friends Association at his children’s primary school, and was responsible for organising the school fete and other school fund raising events.

An avid runner and cyclist, David has run two marathons (2013 and 2021), and completed the Zoo2Zoo bike ride from Sydney to Dubbo in 2018 in support of the Black Dog Institute. Along with 10 of his university mates, he is looking forward to competing (albeit slowly) in the Noosa Triathlon in 2022.
